RHET Scottish Borders Countryside Initiative saw the majority of the 1200 primary 5 children, from all over the Scottish Borders Council area, attend the brilliant Countryside Day. Organised by The Border Union Agricultural Society, Countryside Day promotes food, farming, the rural sector and the countryside.
This year RHET were teaching all things dairy and with the help of our amazing volunteers, the children milked 3 coos (fibreglass), made a butter mountain, identified products which did and didn’t contain milk, did milk maths and of course made fabulous RHET badges to take home.
