Welcome Aboard Tara – Our new Project Co-ordinator

Hi everyone, My name is Tara Clark and I am now in my second month working for RHET.

I was born and brought up on a mixed farm in the East Neuk of Fife and always loved helping with animals and growing crops. My passion for food and everything that surrounds it grew when my family opened our Farm Shop, Ardross Farm Shop while I was in high school. After high school, I went to Edinburgh University and studied Physical Education before moving across to Argyll and Bute to teach in Oban High School during term time and travelling a lot in my holidays to Australia, New Zealand, Canada and America to name a few. During this time, I missed the farm and my family so in 2014 I moved home to Fife. Eight years later after working as a Guidance Teacher in a local high school, I find myself looking for a new challenge and so I was delighted when I was offered this post. When I am not working, I enjoy looking after our herd of Stabiliser Cattle and playing hockey for Madras Hockey Club.

I am excited to work with all the fantastic volunteers within Perth and Kinross to progress the great work of previous coordinator. I feel like I am joining RHET at an exciting time with everything opening up again. I would like to say a huge thanks to my fellow coordinators and committee members for being such a great support to me in my first few weeks in the job.
