Teacher Training

We provide opportunities to update your skills and knowledge around food production.

Our training sessions are tailored to the time you have and we can deliver sessions on the following topics:

Early years and primary

The food experience: delivering cookery sessions in school
The journey of food : looking at food production and tasting some produce
The STEM in food production : investigating the science, technology and maths used in producing Scottish food

Secondary

Food environmental and ethical issues (food miles, organic produce, sustainability, seasonality)
The STEM in food production : investigating the science, technology and maths used in producing Scottish food
Topical issues and interpreting data : looking at some of the data collected by the industry and how it can be utilised in the classroom

To book

You need to find a minimum of 10 teachers to participate (either in your own school or from schools in your cluster) before the booking can be confirmed.

Although tutorials are free we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee of £15 per person for any bookings changed or cancelled within 1 week of session delivery.
