Food and farming careers – There’s a job for everyone!

Suggested Participants – P7 – S2

There are a wide range of careers available in food and farming. Some of these are well known roles like farmers, butchers and large animal vets. However, as well as these roles there are many more roles supporting the production of food like soil scientists, auctioneers, business managers, self employed contractors….The list goes on. There are jobs in the food and farming sector at all levels from manual workers to scientists and computer programmers.

Experiences and Outcomes

  • HWB 2-20a / HWB 3-20a I am investigating different careers/occupations, ways of working, and learning and training paths. I am gaining experience that helps me recognise the relevance of my learning, skills and interests to my future life.
