Royal Highland Show

The 2025 Royal Highland Show will run from the 19th – 22nd June.

The Royal Highland Show is considered a great day out for families and individuals keen to experience the best Scotland has to offer.

The Royal Highland Education Trust (RHET) welcomes school groups on Thursday 19th June and Friday 20th June 2025. The RHET Discovery Centre is open from 9am to 5pm each day and is open to the public over all four days.

RHET organises a variety of hands-on activities for children along with a selection of our partners and organisations to provide sessions which can be found in both the Centre and across the showground. These activities are still being finalised but will be posted on our website nearer show time and emailed to schools on our mailing list.

RHET School Groups at the Show

Ticket prices are Â£55 per school group

One ‘school group’ consists of up to 33 pupils (up to 18 years old) and accompanying adults within the ratios listed below. 

**Any additional adults would need to purchase individual tickets.

  • Please be aware that bookings are non-refundable and may not be sold or passed to a third party. Any change to ticket day will incur a £30 administration charge per group.
  • Payment can only be made by debit/credit card or PayPal. Neither cheques nor cash payments will be accepted.
  • You can book as many school groups as is necessary to cover the number of pupils attending.
  • Upon booking you will receive an e-ticket sent to the email you provide. Please either print and bring this on the day or it can be scanned from your smartphone.
  • Some further information for teachers will be available nearer show time to help you organise your day.
  • A sample risk assessment for school groups attending the Royal Highland Show will be available nearer show time.
  • The RHET Discovery Centre provides a limited number of drop in and bookable activities. Once activity bookings go live we will email everyone who has purchased a school ticket. One activity booking per school, on first come basis.

Volunteering at the Show

We are currently looking for volunteers to assist the RHET team in the Discovery Centre with educational activities (open to all).
