Past Projects

We have worked on many projects and below you’ll find all of our past projects

Our volunteers can help you in many different ways, such as ‘on farm visits’ or other outside learning experiences. We also have specifically trained farmer speakers who will happily support projects on food and farming and the countryside within the classroom. This is useful if your class is unable to visit a farm or more usually to give your class some background to a proposed farm visit.

RHET Past Projects

We offer a range of project-based learning opportunities that teachers can incorporate into their classrooms:

Meet the Dairy Calves

Come and hear from Robert about his jersey calves and how he looks after his award-winning jersey herd.

Meet the Lambs on Demand

These sessions are aimed at younger learners although they are open to anyone who wants to join in. Sessions are scheduled for 20 minutes.

Maths on the Farm

Engage your class in growing peas while participating in a wide range of STEM-related activities.

Collie Dog Maths Tales

The hands-on, interdisciplinary approach can enhance learners’ mathematical skills and build understanding of data literacy.
